Galleria Giustiniani - Classical Antique Sculptures

Joachim von Sandrart was employed by the Marquis Vincenzo Giustiniani from 1632 to 1635 to be the curator of Giustiniani's extensive art collection.  During this time Sandrart produced two volumes of engravings of the ancient sculptures in the collection. The engravings were made by Dutch and French artists. See François Duquesnoy and the Greek Ideal By Estelle Cecile Lingo.
